About EOL Radar & how we verify dates

EOL Radar is a free, neutral calendar of when managed Kubernetes, databases and serverless runtimes on AWS, Google Cloud and Azure stop being supported — and what extended support costs if you can't upgrade in time. Built by a former VP of cloud infrastructure & developer experience who got tired of finding out about extended-support fees from the bill.

Methodology

  1. Official source first. A script fetches each provider's official version-policy page daily. For GKE, AKS, Cloud SQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Lambda, Cloud Run functions and Azure Functions we parse the official table directly.
  2. Cross-check. Where endoflife.date (opens in new tab) covers a service we compare every date and show mismatches on the page. When they disagree, the official page wins.
  3. Verify every date. Each date is checked for presence on the current official page. Dates we can't find there (usually historical versions providers have removed) are labeled unverified.
  4. Never guess. If a provider hasn't published a date, we show "Unknown / not published". Month-only dates are shown as month-only.
  5. Change detection. Every refresh diffs against the previous data; changes go to the newsletter and RSS feed.
